Mimi Werner – Sweden’s own country star with her heart in Nashville
Mimi Werner is one of Sweden’s most compelling voices in modern country music, with over 20 million streams across her digital platforms. With roots in the small town of Kinna and dreams set on Nashville, she has carved her own path in the music industry with a strong vision, a powerful voice, and a presence that goes straight to the heart.
She broke through to a wider audience via Melodifestivalen in 2016 with the self-written song Ain’t No Good, which she co-wrote in Nashville together with some of the city’s leading songwriters. In 2018 she returned to the competition with Songburning, and the same year released her debut EP Here We Go Again, where she among others collaborated with rock icon Brolle—now also her husband.
Since then, Mimi has toured extensively in both large and intimate formats. She has appeared in Diggiloo, performed sold-out church tours, and independently built a strong live following with her unique blend of modern country sounds, heartfelt lyrics, and raw musical joy.
In The Civic Honky Tonk—a Nashville-inspired honky-tonk in the heart of Stockholm that Mimi founded and runs—she has created a live music venue where audiences come close to both the artists and the soul of the music. This is also where the idea for The Civic Honky Tonk Roadshow was born, a touring version of the concept with Mimi Werner at its center.
In the summer of 2025, Mimi hits the road once again—guitar in hand, voice in top form, and a catalogue of songs ranging from deeply personal to explosive. Previous tours such as the Hit the Road JAC Tour have been praised for their energy and intimacy, and the upcoming summer tour promises the same intensity.
She has recorded music in Nashville with musicians from Dolly Parton’s band, interpreted icons such as Patsy Cline, and built a repertoire that blends the timeless with the innovative. Singles like Your Love and Crazy showcase both her vocal range and her ability to convey emotion with authenticity.
In autumn 2025, Mimi enters the studio to write new material scheduled for release in 2026.
During the winter of 2025, Mimi Werner and artist Brolle will embark on an extensive Christmas tour across some of Sweden’s finest concert halls.
With a solid position in Swedish country music, international influences, and a generous dose of heart, Mimi Werner is an artist to watch—now and in the future.
When Mimi takes the stage—anything can happen.
